Mike Sparrow
I live and work as a silversmith in the Market Town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. I have been making miniature silver since around 1990 when I was commissioned to make a teapot by my Aunty Doreen. I then started taking my work to miniature shows the following year and now regularly attend the larger shows.
I make 1/12th scale models that work largely as the the originals: For example the spouts on the teapots are open so would pour, and the black handles are carved from ebony. I produce a wide range of cutlery, teasets, dinner service etc. and my work can be viewed on my website -
